gREGORY Y.C. LUNG, D.M.D.
Dr. Lung, who was born in Nuuanu and raised in Kaimuki, is a St. Louis School alumnus. He attended the University of Hawaii and the University of Washington and graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Dr. Lung then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1990 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Lung then pursued a two-year General Practice Residency in New Orleans, Louisiana, at Charity Hospital-New Orleans which is affiliated with the Louisiana State University Medical Center. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinics in 1996. Following this, Dr. Lung entered into a one-year Fellowship at the Orofacial Surgical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, he had the opportunity to focus his training in salivary gland pathology, traumatology and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Lung has particular interests in implant, orthognathic, trauma and cleft surgery. Dr. Lung currently serves on the Surgical Executive Committee at The Queen’s Medical Center and is one of eight surgeons in the State of Hawaii that manages facial trauma.
Dr. Lung is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Hawaii Dental Association and the Hawaii Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Lung enjoys running, travel, cooking and spending time with his family during his leisure time.
