DAVID S. HAYNES, D.M.D.
Dr. Haynes was born in Wilmington, Delaware and raised in Fort Lee, New Jersey. He received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers College in 1988 and his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1992.
In 1996, Dr. Haynes completed a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He was trained in all facets of the specialty with an emphasis in orthognathic surgery, trauma, pathology and reconstructive surgery. The following year, Dr. Haynes was an Associate Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Dr. Haynes has been in practice in Hawaii since 1997. He has a growing interest in implant, oral pathology and maxillofacial reconstructive surgery.
In 2001, Dr. Haynes became Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists, the American Dental Association, the Hawaii Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointergration, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association and was the past president and now serving as the current Secretary-Treasurer of the Hawaii Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
In his leisure time, Dr. Haynes enjoys exercising and spending time with his family.
